Jet lag hovered around us, but we ventured out to see a bit of Taipei anyway-- the area just north of the school. Jennifer and Emily, both also from the Human Resources Department of T.A.S., took us to lunch at a unbelievably great restaurant called Fang’s. We sampled some of the best Chinese cuisine available- it was fantastic! I especially loved the tofu dish and the green bean/tapioca desert ‘soup.’ Daniel preferred the dumplings and the sweet and sour pork. It was a wonderful introduction to the taste sensation available here! I like the Fang's restaurant in Apple Valley-- but this was the real deal-- excellent!

T.A.S.
We arrived in Taipei at 5:30 AM which was an hour earlier than expected; Brenda Lin, from Taipei American School’s Human Resources Department, met us at the airport after we cleared customs. We headed straight to T.A.S. to complete all the necessary paperwork for new teachers, tour the school, and meet some of the wonderful people at T.A.S. A few pictures of the school inside and out….
