Danshui

We took the MRT up to Danshui, a lovely place to take a relaxing walk along the riverfront. Various artists have been commissioned to create sculptures along the walkway- beautiful work.




































The variety in styles of boats was interesting- from very traditional to ultramodern. Also, it was fun to see the boats in the water and out of the water as the tide was in and out (simple pleasures :)








After walking along one side, we took a boat across the river to see the park and museum on the other side of the river.






We rented a two-seater contraption which looked like fun but ended up being a big unwieldy. (If I were to go again, I'd rent a regular bicycle or a motorized bike). Terrific biking and walking paths.
