On the way to Taroko Gorge National Park
We took the train to Hulien for the first leg of our trip to Taroko Gorge. It took around 3 1/2 hours to get from Taipei to Hulien. I took a few pictures out the train window- the first one I thought was interesting- shows Toyota and Ford! The second one was a view of the countryside- much of the train trip looked similar to this. The third picture I believe is a rice paddy. The stack reminded me of Monet's wheat stack paintings. It was already dark by the time we made it to the east side of the island, so we didn't see the ocean on the the way to Hulien.
