We had a travel agent book our hotel room for Hulien; she picked a gorgeous hotel- the Park View. The cost was about half the price (or less) it would have been in the US. Golf course-like grounds, waterfalls, walking paths, incredible pool. We didn't arrive at the hotel until around 9 PM, so unfortunately we had only a few hours to enjoy the grounds and the pool- but it was wonderful. Swimming pools in Taiwan typically require swim caps for everyone; thankfully they didn't enforce it in the outdoor pool if you stayed above water.
A few pictures follw. The first shows the pool at night when we arrived; the second shows it the next morning before we had breakfast. The others show the grounds and the hotel- lush tropical environment. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a great place to relax.
